Global communications consultancy 90TEN was presented with some of the biggest awards of the night picking up both Mid-Sized and Specialist Consultancy of the Year at the PRWeek UK Awards 2018. 90TEN Account Director, Amy O’Connor won the prestigious Young PR Professional of the Year award. The consultancy’s campaign Flight HIV101 for Gilead scooped the award for Best Use of Content as well as receiving high commendations in both the Healthcare and Best Influencer Marketing categories.
Carole North, 90TEN’s CEO said, “To be recognised as both Mid-Sized and Specialist Consultancy of the Year is a tremendous honour and testament to the passionate and inspiring team at 90TEN. We challenge ourselves to bring fresh thinking to our clients and really make a difference. These awards honour the hard work of all the 90TEN team and the shared vision we have with our clients and partners to deliver life changing campaigns.”
Peter Impey, Managing Director of 90TEN Communications said, “At 90TEN we always aim to deliver, pushing creative boundaries and delighting our clients. Flight HIV 101 is a true demonstration on the 90TEN style where the team delivered above and beyond in a campaign that helped to improve the lives of people living with HIV.”
90TEN’s Flight HIV101 campaign on behalf of Gilead aimed to help gay men living with HIV discuss long-term health with their doctor. Close community collaboration meant that it was a campaign developed by gay men for gay men. It centred around a flight safety comedy short featuring HIV-positive drag queen Panti Bliss – voted “more influential than Donald Trump” by TIME Magazine in 2016. The campaign reached 29m people, with 18% of the target population showing intent to improve long-term health.
The PRWeek UK Awards recognise and reward outstanding work in healthcare communications across local, European and international markets, and are judged by a panel of industry experts and leaders. The PRWeek UK Awards take the Flight HIV101 campaign accolades to seven following recognition at the Communique 2018 and PM Society Digital Awards.
