90TEN boosts PR and medical education teams with senior hires

90TEN appoints two senior members of staff following the continued growth of the award-winning consultancy. Abigail Last joins 90TEN Communications, the PR company of 90TEN, as an Associate Director while Jaya Shumoogam takes up the role of Senior Medical Writer in 90TEN Medical, the medical education company of 90TEN, taking the consultancy’s headcount to 60.

Joining from MSL, Abigail brings more than ten years of experience in healthcare communications, having worked at some of the sectors’ biggest consultancies. Abigail will lead several of 90TEN’s international public relations accounts and will join the senior management team to spearhead the company’s industry leading training programme.

Jaya comes to 90TEN from Ketchum’s Inspired Science and previously held the position of Managing Editor at Thomson Reuters. As a Senior Medical Writer in 90TEN’s Scientific Services team, she will take a leading role in delivering client work with the highest standard of scientific and editorial rigour.

Autumn is an exciting season for 90TEN as the consultancy has been shortlisted in six categories for the forthcoming PR Week Awards 2018 including mid-sized consultancy of the year and specialist consultancy of the year. The consultancy’s Flight HIV101 campaign for Gilead has also been shortlisted for the awards for the Best healthcare campaign, Best use of content and Best influencer marketing campaign. Account Director Amy O’Connor is a finalist for the prestigious young PR professional of the year award.  Winners will be announced on 16th October.
